The once-secretive Mona Gala throws open its doors for 2024: a lavish mid-winter extravaganza of art, charity, food, booze, and performance. Usually invite-only, this year you can buy your way in, with a limited allocation of tickets to a real one-of-one party.

Sprawling through the museum itself, it’s going to be a shindig for the ages, featuring:

  • an exclusive preview of Namedropping—our biggest exhibition in ages;
  • all-inclusive food, drinkies, and performance of the highest quality;
  • plenty of dancing;
  • frocks and finery galore (plus paparazzi);
  • transport to and from the party (fancy ferries, etc.);
  • a daring black-tie-with-a-twist dress code where the theme is “class”, be it high, low, or a couture combo between;
  • exclusive access to a big ol’ online charity auction with goodies galore to bid on;
  • a whole heap more we don’t want to spoil;
  • the priceless knowledge that all this is in aid of a good cause—helping the folks at Material Institute run and expand their food education programs, social enterprises and community events.

It’s going to be massive, and it’s happening during this year’s Dark Mofo happenings, so we know you’ll be around and looking to get loose.

Tickets are expensive (but partially tax deductible), and very limited. All the cool kids are coming, so you’ll not want to miss it.

There’s also an even more exclusive / expensive option: it’s five grand a head, contact Gala Concierge at gala@mona.net.au if you’re interested.
